Wolves' Karl-Anthony Towns Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

Towns expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Surgery repairs lateral meniscus in Towns' left knee

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday that All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns underwent successful surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.

According to the Timberwolves, the surgery was successful and Towns is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The injury occurred during a game against the Indiana Pacers on March 7 and Towns has been sidelined ever since.

The Timberwolves are expected to provide an update on Towns' status in the coming weeks.
