The world is getting a gift it didn't know it needed so badly. Tim Burton's long-awaited sequel to Beetlejuice is finally happening, and it's bringing back some of our favorite characters along with some exciting new additions.
Winona Ryder will be returning as Lydia Deetz, and Michael Keaton will once again be playing the titular Beetlejuice. New additions to the cast include Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux in key roles. Filming is set to begin this summer, and the movie is scheduled to be released in 2025.
In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Burton said that the decades between 1988's Beetlejuice and its long-awaited sequel—scheduled for release in 2025—have given him a new perspective on the material. "I'm older now, and I'm a father," he said. "So I think I'll bring a different sensibility to the film.
