A Los Angeles County Jury On Wednesday Found A Man Guilty Of Sending His 17 Year Old Son To Kill Rapper Pnb Rock

A Los Angeles County jury on Wednesday found a man guilty of sending his 17-year-old son to kill rapper PnB Rock.

The jury deliberated for about two days before finding Freddie Trone, 42, guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Trone's son, Corey Walker, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in June. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12.

PnB Rock, whose real name was Rakim Allen, was shot and killed during a robbery at Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles on Sept. 12, 2022.

Prosecutors said Trone drove his son to the restaurant and waited outside while Walker went inside and shot PnB Rock.

Trone's attorney, Dale Rubin, argued that his client did not know that his son was planning to kill PnB Rock. He said Trone thought his son was going to rob the rapper.

But prosecutors presented evidence that Trone had been planning the robbery for weeks and that he had given his son the gun used to kill PnB Rock.

Trone is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 10.
