Packers Add Greg Joseph to Kicking Competition
Former Titan Re-Emerges in Green Bay
Joseph Brings Experience and Success to Roster
The Green Bay Packers have bolster their kicking lineup with the signing of former Tennessee Titans kicker Greg Joseph. Joseph, a 5-year veteran, is expected to compete with 2023 sixth-round pick Anders Carlson for the Packers' placekicking duties.
During his time with the Titans, Joseph established himself as a reliable and consistent kicker. He ranked 10th in the league in scoring with 361 points, made 83 field goals, and had 191 touchbacks over the past three seasons.
Joseph's signing is seen as a move to add competition to the Packers' kicking game. Carlson, a rookie out of Auburn, showed promise during the preseason but has yet to prove himself in regular-season action.
The Packers' kicking competition is expected to be a close one, with both Joseph and Carlson possessing the skills to be successful in Green Bay. Joseph's experience and track record of success could give him an edge, but Carlson's youth and potential could also make him a valuable asset to the team.
